Chiltern Hills

Most of my work is made in Buckinghamshire, the heart of the Chiltern Hills — my local patch. The Chilterns run on into
Oxfordshire, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire: chalk slopes and beech woods with red kites overhead, chalk streams in the valleys,
and the River Thames curling along the edge between Cookham, Marlow and Henley-on-Thames. Market towns and village
clusters stitch it together — Amersham, Beaconsfield, Princes Risborough, Wendover, Turville, Hambleden and Fingest — places
made for walking, with hedgerows and footpaths like the Chiltern Way and the Ridgeway. It’s also a good place to eat, with
Michelin-starred restaurants in and around the area, including The Hand & Flowers in Marlow and Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons at
Great Milton. This mix of countryside, river, towns and quiet villages is where I spend most weeks, and where most of these
pictures come from. Click on any image to open it in full — each photograph can be viewed in its original format and finer detail.
