South Downs
The South Downs National Park spans rolling chalk downland, beech woods and river valleys dotted with villages and farmland.
Miles of ridge paths and field tracks link flint churches, hedgerows and grazing pastures, opening into wide views across a gently
folded landscape. It’s a quietly beautiful, lived-in place shaped by centuries of farming and walking. The park also takes in a small
stretch of the Sussex coast, including Cuckmere Haven and the white cliffs of the Seven Sisters. Click on any image to open it in full — each photograph can be viewed in its original format and finer detail.
